IT'S MY LIFE!

"when Christ who is our life...."    (colossians 3:4)
so I remembered this song when I was about to post this article, "it's my life, it's my li-ife (3x)"
and people would just sing to it and dance a lot not realizing what's really up.
so I was led to this verse above, and in the previous verse (i.e vs 3) when read you understand that you are dead and your life is hidden in Christ Jesus...you know, just reading this verse may appear normal then further meditation makes you understand what the verse truly depicts.
this verse drives the thought deeper that this life that we live in is truly not ours, for we died and are now raised with him....therefore the attractions and distractions of this world should really not affect us. I believe when we come into deep understanding of vs 1, 2 and 3 we understand that we're as christains are called into the abundant life...where fame, money, women is no longer our priority as regards to our old man,
     So therefore when you're walking on the road and someone stops you and asks "how's life?" you don't reply "my brother, we're just managing" or "well, we thank God" or " well, we all know this life is not fair"..NO, NO and NO!!! our reply should be something like this "well, since Christ is my life, my life is doing exactly how Christ is doing" meaning YOUR LIFE IS FRUITFUL, BLESSED, PROSPEROUS, PLEASING TO GOD, FILLED WITH JOY,SUCCESSFUL  and many more Christ-like attributes. Now if they like let them say your answer is too spiritual, leave them jhor besides last time I checked WE'RE SPIRIT BEINGS WHOSE LIFE IS HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD!

THE INTIMACY THROUGH PRAYER.

You know of recent during my fellowship time, this question just came to me "so why do you think you have to fellowship with me or come worship me?" and you know for a moment I was just silent, was the fellowship time just to fufill all righteousness so that I can say that I prayed for xxx hours today or just to feel like a christain....what really?
      and you know this is a question a majority of us have to ask ourselves.WHY DO WE NEED TO FELLOWSHIP? and you know today after 2 days of not having my proper ellowship time just been there in his presence and i blurted out straight from the heart i said "God you know there's this hole within me that only you can fill, nobody else can do that" and there goes the answer!...we go to him to learn more of him, know more about him and which other way but through prayer and worship.
    You know this phrase that most people use "if prayer doesn't work, try praise"..its sooo wrong because we understand from mark 11:24 that whatever things we ask when we pray, BELIEVING that we RECEIVE them and then we will HAVE them. So you see ther's no 2-way about it.but the problem is, even while we're praying we christains are still thinking, "will God do it or not?" and then he's wondering "then why do you ask?"
   So you see go to him in prayer, ask him so your joy may be full because that's what he wants, Worship him, Praise him, just Surrender yourself in his presence and I promise you a life-time of Joy-overflow!

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?..GOO!!!

So the holy spirit reminded me of Matthew 28 from vs 18;

                       " GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS"
You know how we all write our goals for the year or for the month and we write "lord i want to win xxx number of souls for you this year/this month" and at the end of the year/month you notice that you didn't even go halfway or even a quarter.You know what happens most times is that we forget about the fact that we are  to GO not wait for these people to come and meet us wherever we are.For the Christians of this day I translated this verse as;

                      "MY FRIEND GET OUT OF THAT COMFORT ZONE OF YOURS AND MAKE THE PEOPLE IN DARKNESS COME TO MY LIGHT"
you know that was the way it sounded to me when I read it, I suddenly remembered the number of people I would like to bring into his light this year and well I haven't really gone far...and why??...because of this "where do I go to preach the word" mentality.Thank God all that is no more.

    So my wonderful readers and my brethen...let's not just sit down there and comfort ourselves saying at least I tried and don't use follow-up as an excuse for not making disciples for Christ because if no soul is won then what or who really are we following-up???

P.P --> Lord, i Receive grace to go out and preach your word and make disciples in your name (not making excuses anymore)

WHAT ARE YOU REALLY DOING?

Ok, so picture me staring at a blank i-touch...new, untouched, un-used, un-scratched, un-broken (allow me), un- ugly (still allow me)...ok let me stop there.Now i'm sure you'll be wandering why are you staring at it and not using it, right?...why am i staring at it??...but you see that's the problem, I can't get it to work. (sigh)

    So now let's picture something else, a human being this time alive, beautiful , handsome, eating, drinking, sleeping, working, gisting you know like the sims game?!..just that this time even with all the hustle and bustle your creator (God) is jhus looking at you...like *serious straight face* expecting you to come on (like with the i-touch scenerio),but you know this time this scenerio is more annoying why? because
First of all, he has made us in his image and likeness....meaning when pple see us, they should see him
Secondly, he's your father, meaning you are born of him...so he's wondering where did you get all these acts and mindsets from.

Thirdly,he has given us all the necessary materials we will need to achieve that which he has set before us so he's wondering why all the muttering and complaining
Fourthly, how many times have you missed your way and he has sent so many people your path just to get you up

Lastly he has showered and bestowed his love upon us, he's wondering what else do you need?

P.S --> there's surely still many more but just these few things came to my mind

      Now please tell me, if I could do all this to my i-touch to make it work, WOULDN'T I??...even if I won't (which I would despite the fact that I've paid for it long ago, I won't mind the extra cost) You surely would!

     You see!!! but God did all these and is still doing all this despite the fact that he gave up his son (A BIG SACRIFICE) a long time ago but some people are just not **working**(permit me to use that word in the i-touch sense) but you know the good part of all this, my wonderful friends?! he's still staring at you and he keeps going back to check you if you're **working or not**... when he closes his eyes you still come up in his head...and you know the greatest part HE'LL SURELY NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU! (i wonder if i can say the same for my i-touch after some time)

So brethen, Please let's wake up and ask ourselves WHAT ARE WE REALLY DOING??

WHO WILL SAVE THEM?

I just finished watching a movie titled "like dandelion dust" and i think a tear or two rolled down my eyes.
the story was such of a boy who had an abusive father and a mother that got beaten up frequently so at the time he was born, his dad was in jail due to the constant beatings and his mom couldn't bear all the trauma alone so she gave him up for adoption. you know what was so sad, 7 yrs later the man out of prison and all forming i'm a changed man to his faithful wife who didn't leave him through it all(the beatings btw)...she told him about the boy they had and how she gave him up for adoption...so story story...  at the end of the day the social services had to choose between the original parents and the ones that adopted him and everyone lived happily ever after...but then PAUSE
     At least this little boy had the chance to be adopted by such loving people that could fight for his ownership like he was their own child, what about the children that don't get to have a chance of love from a family, what about those who are even living in homes but are not loved, what about those living in homes but  have no voice because they get constantly abused,what about those children who gets moved around like sack of potatoes from one orphanage to the other, what of those who always feel depressed and empty inside because there's barely anyone to show them love, what of those whose anticipation rises the day their told of couples coming over only for their exicitement to be cut short everytime single time because no one ever takes a second glance at them,there are so may whats and whats???....but really WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TO THOSE WHO FALL UNDER THESE CATEGORIES ABOVE AND EVEN MORE??

WHO WILL SAVE THEM??

please let's take a moment and think of this, even if it's for a minute pray a heart-felt prayer for them right now and if you can help those you can notice around you, please do.

WE CAN SAVE THEM!!!

HAVE I NOT COMMANDED YOU??

You know yesterday, the holy spirit gladly led me to this scripture
Joshua 1: 9
              "Have I not commanded you?, be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go"
and that's the part i went  "awwww...." cuz seriously that's the sweetest thing ever. IT'S A COMMAND BE STRONG!
   Most times we have assignments and our to- do list is like so long we have to tear another paper to attach to the last one which not one box has been marked and still you're praying the same prayer you prayed when you started the list, "I'm weak Lord" "I'm afraid Lord" "I don't tink ican do this Lord" " see this work is just too much" "I just can't do it" and he's like virtually keeping a straight face wondering what's wrong ith this my child HAVE I NOT COMMANDED YOU??
  I would like you to know that all the strength you would ever need for that current task he has already given it to you, so drowning in self- pity doesn't get the work done. why?...because you already have all what you need.
  I would like to tell someone here that the Lord you God is on your side and he's with you, and I understand from the word that if God is for you, no one and i repeat NO ONE! can be against you.have that in mind!!!
  SO GET UP AND GET YOURSELF TOGHETHER!, utilize that strength he has given unto you and be courageous cuz he who is with you is surely mightier than them and watch yourself do things that you have never imagined!

IDENTITY CRISIS!!!...BEWARE!

Wonderful afternoon i must say!...hope your week has been nothing less than great!
You know recently I've kinda discovered one thing that draws us farther away from our inheritance...

        IDENTITY CRISIS can be defined as " distress and disorientation (especially in adolescence) resulting from uncertainty about one's self, a result of conflicting internal and external experiences, pressures, and expectations and often producing acute anxiety. " You read through the scriptures and aren't you sometimes so amazed(if not everytime) at the truth the word contains.Last week while fellowshiping i told God something,I said i'm going to take the word just as it is. you know most times even though we think we believe, we try to modify what the word says because we're too scared to let our hearts believe something and then no change occurs. and you know that's why nothing ever works out, you cannnot just decide to believe something "halfly"- in order not to get dissapointed and then expect that thing to come through.

    A king cannot act like a slave and except people to treat him like a king, that's exactly what happens nowadays, we christian have lost our identity that we are the SONS OF THE MOST HIGH. in John 1:13 we understand that we're born not of the blood, nor of will of flesh, nor the will of man but WE ARE BORN OF GOD!...do you know what that means?...in rom. 8:37 we also understand that we are more than conquerors through Christ!...also in rom 8:32 we understand that we have the card to get all we want - the love of God. so why don't we SNAP OUT OF SELF-PITY and think like we ought to, speak like we ought to and act like we ought to!

      Imagine a scenario where you have to wear an identity card to enter a building and you really didn't mean to ,but you forgot to put it on that day....Well sorry, you'll just not be allowed to enter the building...and how painful that will be! Well, that's exactly what happens when we forget who we truly are, life plays games with you and there's nothing you can do about it.Someone once said "life doesn't give you what you wish for, but what you demand" ...but remember a slave can't demand for anything so GET YOUR IDENTITY RIGHT AND WALK AROUND KNOWING WHO YOU ARE AND NOTHING LESS!
